South Side Pups Glass SweeP-UP

September 18, 2012

Volunteers are still needed to complete the teams for the South Side Pups Glass SweeP-UP on Saturday, Sept. 22.

Teams of volunteers (four to five people per team) will be picking up broken glass on South Side to help keep their pets safe. Team registration is from 9:30-10 a.m. at the South Side Pups white tent in the 18th Street parking lot on East Carson Street.

Teams will then pick up glass from 10 a.m. to noon. Volunteers should bring a broom, dust pan and good gloves, buckets will be provided to put the glass in. At noon, volunteers are asked to return to the tent with their glass buckets and dogs for a Pizza Party and dog treats.

At the tent, everyone's glass buckets will be weighed and the winner of who picked up the most glass will be announced. Prizes will be awarded.

At 12:30 p.m. a Dog Walk to the new South Side Dog Park is planned. Dog owners who aren't able to participate in the Glass SweeP-UP are still welcome to join in for the Dog Walk to the park.

People can register to volunteer on the website: http://www.southsidepups.com or at the Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/SouthSideKeepOurPupsSafe.
