A South Pittsburgh student is among the 61 students at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg who were inducted into Phi Eta Sigma, the national honor society for first-year students.

Carley Mingone, a pre-pharmacy major, is the daughter of Lori and Robert Mingone and a graduate of Carrick High School.

This honor society encourages and rewards academic excellence among full-time first-year students who have achieved a 3.50 QPA in their first or second semesters.
