Upcoming Pittsburgh Zoning Board hearings

Pittsburgh's Zoning Board of Adjustment has scheduled the following public hearings of interest to South Pittsburgh residents in the first floor hearing room of the John P. Robin Civic Building, 200 Ross Street, Downtown.

Zone case 108/12 on Thursday, June 7 at 9:10 a.m. is the appeal of MW Wright Real Estate LLC, owner and applicant, for 141 S. 12th Street in the 17th Ward (Zoning District RIA-VH).

Applicant requests use of three-story structure as two-family dwelling.

Special Exception Request: 921.02.A.4­ - A nonconforming use change to another nonconforming use is a Special Exception.

Notes: Certificate of Occupancy 32911, dated 10/24/1977, permitted occupancy "Two family dwelling."

Certificate of Occupancy 36730, dated 4/1/1980, permitted occupancy "Continued use of existing building for six dwelling units with three common bath facilities."

Zone case 109/12 on Thursday, June 7 at 9:20 a.m. is the appeal of Brian Michael Fallet, owner and applicant, for 1507 Arlington Avenue in the 18th Ward (Zoning District RID-H).

Applicant requests 21' x 12'6" two-story addition to the existing two-story single family attached dwelling with one-car parking pad at front and 6' pricacy fence along the side street.

Variance Request: 903.03.D.2­ - Minimum 15' exterior side yard setback required and 1' requested.

Zone case 120a/12 on Thursday, June 14 at 10:10 a.m. is the appeal of Martin Media, owner, and Lamar Advertising Co., applicant, for Saw Mil Run Blvd. in the 32nd Ward (Zoning District NDI).

Applicant requests an esisting advertising sign relocation.

Variance Request: 919.02.N.3­ - Sign shall not be moved to a different location and a sign relocation requested.

Notes: Certificate of Occupancy 47844, dated 10/18/1985, permitted occupancy "14' x 48' ground sign (Issued on the basis of sign registration billing #5528 renewed annyally prior to 1958. Original application destroyed)." Location: Saw Mill Run Blvd. and Library Road.

Zone case 120c/12 on Thursday, June 14 at 10:10 a.m. is the appeal of Chalmers Martin & Marilyn, owner, and Lamar Advertising Co., applicant, for Saw Mil Run Blvd. in the 32nd Ward (Zoning District LNC).

Applicant requests an esisting advertising sign relocation.

Variance Request: 919.02.N.3­ - Sign shall not be moved to a different location and a sign relocation requested.

Notes: Certificate of Occupancy 201000052, dated 1/12/2010, permitted occupancy: use of one-story structure for vehicle sales (limited).
