S.S. Planning forum changes venue for May meeting on NID

The May meeting of the South Side Planning Forum will be held at a different location, in the cafeteria at UPMC Mercy South Side, 2000 Mary Street, on Tuesday, May 8, at 5:30 p.m.

One presentation will be on the agenda. The presentation will be made by South Side resident Michelle Berard on the proposed Neighborhood Improvement District (NID).

Public comments and questions will be accepted following the presentation. Up to 20 people can register to speak on the presentation. Registration will take place at the meeting, prior to the presentation.

Those who register will have up to two minutes to ask questions or comment on the presentation. No other public comment will be permitted.

Those who register to speak will not be permitted to engage in personal attacks or uncivil behavior of any kind and must confine remarks to the topic of the presentation. Any individual who violates these guidelines will be ruled out of order and, if necessary, will be asked to leave the meeting.

Following the presentation, the forum will discuss two items of old business. The first item is a discussion of the revised South Side Neighborhood Plan. Forum member organizations have reviewed the plan and may vote on its approval.

The second item of old business will be a discussion of the Neighborhood Improvement District. The NID Steering Committee will make its final recommendation on the plan and forum member organizations may vote on its approval.

The South Side Planning Forum meets on the second Tuesday of each month.
