Pittsburgh's Zoning Board of Adjustment has scheduled the following public hearings of interest to South Pittsburgh residents in the first floor hearing room of the John P. Robin Civic Building, 200 Ross Street, Downtown.

Zone case 87/12 on Thursday, April 26 at 9:30 a.m. is the appeal of RRK, LLC, applicant, and RE Servicing LLC, owner for 2003 Gregory Street in the 17th Ward (Zoning District R1A-VH).

Applicant requests use of two off-site parking stalls for two-story single-family attached dwelling.

Variance Request: 903.03.E.2 – Minimum 5 ft. interior side yard set back required and 1.5 ft. requested.

Special Exception Request: 914.07.G.2(a) – Off-site parking is a Special Exeception.

Past Cases & Decisions: ZBA Case 98 of 2010, construction of a 24'x17' first floor deck, a 20'x17' second floor deck, and a 10'x17' third floor deck (all open) at rear of existing 2½ story single family dwelling with proposed dormer at rear was approved.

Zone case 86/12 on Thursday, May 10 at 9:10 a.m. is the appeal of Kirklin T. Klett, owner and applicant for 185 Pius Street in the 17th Ward (Zoning District R1A-VH).

Applicant requests existing deck for two-story single-family detached dwelling.

Variance Request: 903.03.E.2 – Minimum 5 ft. interior side yard setback required and 8" to 2.5' requested.

Zone case 88/12 on Thursday, May 10 at 9:20 a.m. is the appeal of Lucas Gayle & Daryl, owner and applicant, for 421 Laughlin Street in the 29th Ward (Zoning District P).

Applicant requests 10'x14' shed at front of single-family detached dwelling.

Variance Request: 905.01.C­ - Minimum 30' front setback required and 0' requested.

Notes: Certificate of Occupancy 79311, dated 5/31/2000 permitted occupancy "two-story one-family dwelling with one-car integral garage and 40'x40' one-story extension on easterly side for garage for storage of boat and trailer and non-commercial automobiles."

Zone case 89/12 on Thursday, May 10 at 9:30 a.m. is the appeal of Thomas Chardello and Cassandra Yakovich, owner and applicant, for 1918 Wharton Street in the 17th Ward (Zoning District R1A-VH).

Applicant requests 6'x15' existing deck for two-story single-family detached dwelling.

Variance Request: 903.03.E.2­ - Minimum 5' interior side yard setback required and 0' requested.

Zone case 90/12 on Thursday, May 10 at 9:40 a.m. is the appeal of David Richards, applicant, and James Gourlay, owner, for 215 Labelle Street in the 19th Ward (Zoning District R1D-M).

Applicant requests new 3½ story single-family detached dwelling.

Variance Request: 903.03.C.2­ - Maximum height three stories permitted and 3½ stories requested.
