It's all happening at the Knoxville branch library this spring

CLP- Knoxville has new hours and new programs, they are now open Mondays and Tuesdays, 10-7 and Wednesday through Saturday, 10-5.

April and ongoing programs include:

Laptop Lending Program. CLP-Knoxville now has laptops available for use inside the library. Come in and ask for more details.

Gardening Thyme. The library is looking for volunteers for its very first community garden. Those interested in gardening should contact Suzy Waldo at 412-381-6543.

Skills for Success - The Fontana Series : Career Building Workshop will take place on Tuesday, April 3, noon to 4 p.m.

Part 1: Interviewing & Networking Workshop is two hours. Participants will discuss the interview process, practice answers for tough questions and consider salary negotiation while developing a personal networking strategy.

Part 2: Career Lab is also two hours. There, participants may practice interview skills, work on online application forms, explore library resources or receive individual assistance with résumés. Drop-ins are welcome.

Got Game? Is on Tuesday April 10 from 4-6 p.m. Come see if you can beat the staff in the biggest game you've ever played. Specially designed for ages 8 and up, the Hilltop CONNECTS Computer Center and the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh- Knoxville have teamed up to bring a computer game you'll never forget!

Fifteen computers, all connected in one single giant video game.

Arbor Day Celebration : Taking Pictures of Trees in our Neighborhood is on Saturday, April 14, from 1 - 2 p.m. Kids ages 3 - 8 will learn about trees in the neighborhood through digital photography. Cameras will be supplied. Presented by the Carnegie Museum of Natural History.

Toddler Storytime is on Thursday, April 19 and other dates 11:30 a.m. – noon with stories, rhymes and activities for children age 2-3 with an adult caregiver. Attend four programs and complete two other activities to earn a backpack with goodies for your child.

One Book Every Young Child Celebration : Stories and activities celebrating Stop Snoring, Bernard! Is on Saturday, April 28 from 11a.m. – noon. Families with young children birth – 5 years old can come to the library for a morning of fun activities celebrating the PA One Book Every Young Child 2012: Stop Snoring Bernard! by Zachary Ohora. Light refreshments will be served
