Police nab kidnapper on Rt. 51
Police in Zones Three and Six received an alert from Brentwood Police on Friday, March 23, they had a man who stated he was forcibly kidnapped by a black man in the Overbrook/Brookline section of Pittsburgh.
The victim told police the suspect had come to his house to collect money owed to him. When the victim stated he didn't have the money, the actor pulled out a knife and forced the victim to into his car.
The suspect was driving south on Saw Mill Run Blvd. when the victim jumped out and ran for help at a local business. The suspect fled in a green Acura and was subsequently stopped by Brentwood Police on Saw Mill Run Blvd.
At the same time Pittsburgh Police units from Zone Three and Six were dispatched to a house on Glenbury Street for an unknown trouble call. It was later determined the calls were related and the victim called 911 while he was being abducted.
Pittsburgh Police officers arrested Shaun Nembhard, 24, from West Mifflin and charged him with kidnapping and recklessly endangering another person.
Mr. Nembhard was taken to the Allegheny County Jail.
