City Planning wants input on long-term transportation

February 28, 2012

Pittsburgh City Planning is holding a series of MOVEPGH meetings to discuss visions and goals for the city's long-range transportation needs.

The first meetings will take place on Thursday, March 8 from noon to 2 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at Consol Energy Center's Lexus Club on the PNC Legends Level. Those attending should enter at the Verizon Gate on Centre Avenue and follow the directional signs.

City Planning officials will be there to why it is important for resident input to develop goals for Pittsburgh's first ever comprehensive transportation plan. MOVEPGH is one of 12 components of PLANPGH, the city's first ever comprehensive plan.

MOVEPGH will guide transportation decisions and spending for the next 25 years.

Transit access is available via Fifth Avenue, Centre Avenue and Steel Plaza "T" Station. Bike parking is available on site. There will be free car parking available after 5 p.m. in the South Lot on Centre Avenue.

For special accommodations, contact Patrick Roberts 412-255-2224 or move.pgh@pittsburghpa.gov.
