On the morning of Monday, Jan. 23, Zone 3 Officers were called to the First Niagara Bank in the 100 block of Shiloh Street for the report of a bank robbery.
A bank employee reported that the suspect approached the teller window with a dark colored pistol and told them to "Give me all of your money and no dye packs." The teller complied and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money which the robber put in a black bag.
The bank robber left the bank on foot, possibly toward Grandview Avenue.
The suspect is approximately 5'8" and was wearing a ski mask, dark jacket with hood, gloves and white and red tennis shoes. It was first reported at the time that the suspect was a white man. However, because the suspect's face was covered, the race of the actor is undetermined at this time.
Pittsburgh Police Robbery Squad detectives and the Major Crime Unit processed the scene. Police officials will release updated information when it is available and appropriate.
The Robbery Squad is conducting the investigation. Anyone who has information regarding this robbery is asked to contact the squad at 412-323-7151. Callers may remain anonymous.
