The South Side Slopes Neighborhood Association annual holiday celebration included recognition of individuals who have contributed to the success of the organization over the past year.
"A true friend of the Slopes," SSSNA President Paul Lorincy called City of Pittsburgh Division 4 Public Works Supervisor John Radcliffe. "Whether it is getting us a dumpster, dump truck cutting weeds and grass, maintaining steps or responding to our 311 calls, he is always there."
Brian Oswald was recognized for his enthusiasm and the excitement he brought to his position as chair of this year's Step Trek.
Calling him one of his three "sons" Mr. Lorincy said. "Brian is certainly the go-to guy for me, whether it's bringing the chain saw to cut down a tree, picking up litter, using his truck to haul things or opening his house for a progressive dinner."
