Police looking for South Side bank robber

Pittsburgh Police are looking for this man who robbed the Dollar Bank on E. Carson Street last Thursday. Anyone recognizing the bank robber is asked to call the Robbery Squad at 412-323-7151.

Zone 3 Police Officers responding to a bank robbery call went to the Dollar Bank in the 1700 block of E. Carson Street on Thursday, Nov. 17 at 2:40 p.m.

A bank employee reported the suspect entered the bank and passed a note which demanded money. The robber then fled the bank heading towards 18th Street with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured and no weapon was reported seen during the robbery.

Police are looking for the suspect: a black man, 45-50 years old, 6'0" with a thin build. He was unshaven with scruffy facial hair and was wearing a white baseball cap with over lapped gold crosses in a circle stitched on the front of the cap, casual black khaki type pants, dark blue/black jacket, white shirt hanging below jacket and black laced work shoes with thick soled traction.

The Pittsburgh Police Robbery Squad is conducting this investigation. Anyone with information regarding the robbery or can identify the suspect in the surveillance photo is asked to contact the Robbery Squad at 412-323-7151. Callers may remain anonymous.
