Santa is coming to South Side for Winterfest

Pittsburgh Phillips K-5 will host South Side Winterfest on Thursday, Dec. 1 from 6-8 p.m.

The evening of family fun includes: a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Parents are encouraged to bring their cameras for pictures with Santa; Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer; Holiday crafts and cookie decorating for the kids; and, performances by Pittsburgh Phillips and Spring Hill choirs.

There will also be a performance by the Hot Metal Bridge Faith Community along with a bake sale to benefit the Pittsburgh Phillips K-5 PTO.

Parents are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy or non-perishable food item for the Brashear Association's annual Holiday Toy and Food Drive. Everyone will also have a chance to write a letter to our troops for the holidays.

Pittsburgh Phillips K-5 is at 1901 Sarah Street on South Side. Contributing to the success of the evening are Citiparks, the Hot Metal Bridge Faith Community and LifeStone Church.
