“Thanksgiving Homemade” will show young children that they can help prepare the feast by learning to make applesauce and real butter on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 11:30 a.m. Children between the ages of 3 and 9 may participate, with an adult caregiver. Register in advance for this program, space and supplies are limited.
Kids ages 8 and up can join in a celebration of the launch of the new “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” book by taking part in the library's afterschool program on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 3:30 p.m. Games, crafts and other activities drawn from the popular books will add to the fun. Registration is required in advance.
Evening Storytime for Toddlers continues on alternate Wednesday evenings at 6 p.m. The program is designed to help young children develop an interest in reading while winding down for the day. Stories, rhymes, songs and other activities make it a fun time for parent and child alike. Remaining dates for this session are November 16, 30 and December 7.
