Free Thanksgiving Day dinner for those in need in Zone 3 area

Pittsburgh police will again be delivering hot meals on Thanksgiving Day to those in need.

Officers will deliver the meals in the morning and early afternoon on Thanksgiving Day. The meals will be prepared at Penny's Diner on South Side.@

Those in need or who know someone who is need of the meals, should contact Officer Christine Luffey at 412-488-8425 to arrange a delivery.

Officer Luffey will be taking food orders to service the following communities: Allentown, Arlington, Banksville, Beechview, Beltzhoover, Bon Air, Brookline, Carrick, Chartiers City, Crafton Heights, Duquesne Heights, East Carnegie, Elliott, Esplen, Fairywood, Knoxville, Mt. Oliver, Mt. Washington, Oakwood, Overbrook, Ridgemont, Sheraden, South Side, West End, Westwood, and Windgap.@
