The Feast of San Rocco, Italian Festa in Grandview Park will end with a free showing of Moonstruck in the park on Sunday, Aug. 14.
The Italian Festa, hosted by Santa Maria Magdalena Parish and Friends of Grandview Park, begins at 2 p.m. in Grandview Park, 499 Bailey Ave. The day's events begin with parade, starting at Etta and Bailey, and will feature a Holy Mass. music, food, an organ recital sponsored by Trombino Piano Stores and a White Elephant Sale.
The day continues with Sound of Motown at 6:30-8 for dancing. The showing of Moonstruck is sponsored by Citiparks.
The Archbishop of the Italo-Greco Orthodox Church in the USA, Canada, and Southern Italy will be the guest of honor at the San Rocco Italian Fest. Archbishop Stephen Enea, will be visiting the Hilltop and Pittsburgh for the weekend. He will be the honored guest of Monsignor Vic Cianca and Santa Maria Magdalena Parish.
