Pittsburgh's Zoning Board of Adjustment has scheduled the following public hearings of interest to South Pittsburgh residents in the first floor hearing room of the John P. Robin Civic Building, 200 Ross Street, Downtown.

Zone case 141/11 on Thursday, Aug. 4 at 9:50 a.m. is the appeal of Michael Wright, owner/applicant for 40 S. 19th Street in the 17th Ward (Zoning District R1A-VH).

Applicant requests use of an 18'x19' parking pad in the rear of a proposed 2-story single-family dwelling.

Use Variance Requests: 903.03.E.2, 5' exterior side yard setback required, 0' requested; 912.04.C, 5' accessory side yard setback required, 0' requested; 912.04B, 2' rear setback required, 0' requested.

Notes: 6/13/11 — Building permit issued for interior renovations of an existing 2½-story structure as a single-family dwelling.

Zone case 145/11 on Thursday, Aug. 4 at 10:10 a.m. is the appeal of Dennis Huet, owner/applicant for 2408 Jane Street in the 16th Ward (Zoning District R1A-VH).

Applicant requests to erect 2, single-family attached dwellings with 2-car integral garages.

Use Variance Requests: 903.03.E, 5' interior side yard setback required, 1' requested; 903.03.E, 15' rear yard setback required, 11'3" and 2'5" requested; 903.03.E, 1,200 sf lot size required, 849 sf and 1025 sf requested.

Notes: 1988 — Certificate of occupancy issued for continued use of existing structure as two-family dwelling with two outdoor parking stalls in the rear.

Zone case 100/11 on Thursday, Aug. 18 at 9:00 a.m. (continued from June 9) is the appeal of Michael M. & Dianne Leaf, owners/applicants for 239 Vineland and 238 Braid Way in the 29th Ward (Zoning District R1D-M).

Applicants request to use of two-family dwelling (up and down) and a single-family dwelling at the rear.

Use Variance Requests: 911.02, use of three dwelling units on one lot not permitted by right in the R1D zoning district, and also they must be contained within a one structure.

Applicant requests continued use of two-story two-family dwelling (up and down).

Use Variance Requests: 911.02, Use of two-family dwelling (up and down) not permitted in the R1D zoning district.

Zone case 162/11 on Thursday, Aug. 18 at 10:10 a.m. is the appeal of Standard Structures Inc. (Etal), owner, and Union Real Estate Company of Pittsburgh, applicant for 2134 Brownsville Road in the 29th Ward (Zoning District LNC).

Applicant requests use of one drive up window as accessory to fast-food restaurant (limited)(Dunkin' Donuts).

Use Variance Requests: 913.03.F, Use of one drive up window as accessory to fast-food restaurant (limited) is a special exception.
