A+ Schools, Pittsburgh's community alliance for public education, is teaming up with six community partners to hold a series of neighborhood meetings in July and August to give residents the opportunity to weigh in on the massive budget cuts facing the city school district.
Meeting participants will use hand-held polling devices to express their views on budget priorities. The information will be compiled into a report and delivered to the Pittsburgh Public Schools. It also will be used to evaluate PPS budget proposals.
The South Pittsburgh neighborhood partner, meeting date and location, is: Pittsburgh Association for the Education of Young Children, on Tuesday, July 26 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at the Hilltop Children's Community Center, 201 Orchard Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15210.
