South Side Community Council will recognize and commend a resident and/or business owner for their commitment and dedication to making the South Side a better place to live with the third annual Outstanding South Sider Award.
The community council is seeking nominations of residents who consistently work towards the betterment of the community: picking up litter, planting flowers, fighting graffiti, showing concern for their neighbor or informing the neighborhood of public safety issues.
To nominate a South Sider, send their full name, phone number, and the reasons why they should be nominated. Email Eve Trbovich at firstname.lastname@example.org to submit an entry, or send a nomination by mail to South Side Community Council, Attn: Eve - 2005 Sarah Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15203. Nominations should be received no later than August 15.
The 2011 Outstanding South Sider Award will be presented at South Side Community Council's Second Annual Prize Day/Open Meeting, scheduled for September 2011 at the Brashear Center, 2005 Sarah Street.
