Brashear summer programs for kids starting on the Hilltop and South Side
As the school year comes to an end, The Brashear Association's Education Department is beginning a summer full of fun and learning.
From June 20 to July 7, Monday-Thursday, students who will be in second and third grades will meet at the Hilltop United Methodist Church, 631 East Warrington Avenue, from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Brashear staff will offer academic enrichment programs plus fun activities with art, science, culture and sports. From 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m ., students in grades two through five can drop in for an afternoon of nature walks, time at the park, creative projects and much more!
In partnership with Pittsburgh Public Schools at Pittsburgh Phillips K-5, Brashear will offer its annual Discover South Side Camp from July 11 until August 10. Discover South Side is a daily adventure designed for South Pittsburgh children registered with the Summer Dreamer's Academy. Every afternoon, Brashear staff will accompany students to area businesses and landmarks so that they may experience the rich and diverse culture of the South Side.
Both programs are free of charge. For more information or to register a child for any of the programs, contact Renee Greenlee, education coordinator, at 412-431-2236 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Brashear Association is a United Way agency.
