The Knoxville Branch Library will offer the Create Together Intergenerational Art Program each Wednesday morning beginning June 22.
Children entering third to sixth grades and older adults between ages 60-80 are eligible to participate. Registration is limited to 12 participants with a few places still remaining.
The children and adults are brought together as partners in a six-week long arts media program that includes sculpting, collage, drawing, fabrics, photography, acrylic and water color painting along with other mixed media, followed by a gallery exhibit and celebration. The program was successful at the South Side Branch Library in the summer of 2009.
will begin at the Knoxville Library on Wednesday, June 22 from 10 a.m. to noon and continue each Wednesday morning through July 27. Interested individuals must register in advance and commit to attending at least five of the six programs.
Registration will be taken until June 18 or until all seats are filled.
