Wise Walk kickoff

The Kick Off Walk for the Wise Walk at the Knoxville Library is happening on Thursday, May 19 at 10 a.m. Walkers should meet behind the library.

The goal for the group is to reach a goal of 928,000 steps (464 miles) or enough to walk to Chicago. When the goal is reached they'll celebrate with a deep dis Chicago pizza.

All participants will receive a complimentary pedometer and walking guide. T-shirts are also available to the first 25 participants. Visit the library weekly to report number of steps, discover great resources and enjoy a healthy again program with a healthy snack.

The program is made possible through the Allegheny County Library Association in partnership with AARP and the Highmark PALS (People Able to Lend Support) Program.

The Carnegie Library of PittsburghKnoxville is at 400 Brownsville Road.
