WW II veterans welcome on trip to Washington

World War II veterans can register for a free one-day bus trip to the WWII National Memorial in Washington, D.C. scheduled for Tuesday, May 24.

The buses will leave at 6 a.m. from four locations: Ross Park, Monroeville, Greentree and Beaver, and return at approximately 9 p.m. A box lunch dinner and beverages will be provided. Wheelchairs will be available if requested. For more information or to register call 724-709-3614.

Seating is reserved for WWII veterans only; Family, friends and spouses cannot be accommodated. Donations, which will enable the organization to provide this trip free of charge to veterans, will be accepted.

Donations make the trip possible for veterans at no cost to themselves. Each busload costs approximately $2,600. To make a donation mail a check payable to "WWII Memorial Vets Trip" to: Kingsway Engineering, 1331 State Avenue, Coraopolis, PA 15108.
