A community meeting for the SMART TRID (South Metro Area Revitalization through Transit-Transit Revitalization Investment District) will take place tonight, Tuesday, April 19, from 6-8 p.m. at the Warrington Recreation Center, 329 Warrington Avenue.
The meeting will discuss the SMART TRID Planning Study, a community driven study to help determine the best ways to leverage public transit in the study area of Allentown, Beechview, Beltzhoover and Mount Washington into improvements that can benefit the community.
The consultant team will be presenting preliminary recommendations for the study area. All are welcome to come and share their thoughts on the potential recommendations and help prioritize as they move toward implementation.
A second meeting will take place in Beechview at St. Catherine's Church, 1901 Broadway Avenue, on Wednesday, April 20 from 6-8 p.m. to present the Beechview portion of the study.
