PLANPGH meeting in Mt. Washington

April 19, 2011

The City of Pittsburgh is currently undergoing its first comprehensive plan, PLANPGH, to create a shared vision and policies for the next 25 years of the city's development.

One of the initial components of PLANPGH is OpenSpacePGH, the city's open space, parks and recreation plan. OpenSpacePGH is intended to provide the city with goals and strategies for its parks, recreation and formal open spaces system, as well as a tool to assist in putting its vacant properties into productive re-use.

Community meetings are planned for throughout the city. In the South Pittsburgh area, meetings will be held on Wednesday, April 27 from 6-8 p.m. at the Mount Washington Senior Center, 122 Virginia Avenue, and on Tuesday, May 3, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Seton Center, 1900 Pioneer Avenue in Brookline.
