Art and poetry project, fashion show planned for Knoxville Branch Library

Children in kindergarten through fifth grades are welcome to attend the Family Study Buddies Program at Carnegie Library of PittsburghKnoxville, with a parent or adult caregiver, where they will gain skills and knowledge to improve their homework results.

This month they'll be learning about art and poetry by creating a giant art project. The Family Study Buddies Program will be held on Saturday, March 19 at 1 p.m. Attendees will also receive a poetry journal to take home and other surprises.

A Teen Spring Fashion Show is scheduled for Saturday, March 26 at noon. Teens ages 12–17 years old are eligible to participate as models or fashion assistants. The show will emphasize vintage clothing styles and music with a contemporary twist.

Those who are a fashionista at heart should call the Knoxville Library for more information on how to participate, or to reserve a seat for the fashion show.

All programs are offered free of charge. Call the Knoxville Library at 412-381-6543. The Knoxville Branch is at 400 Brownsville Road.
