Zone 3 council will meet in Carrick

Carrick will host the Pittsburgh Police Zone 3 Public Safety Citizens Council meeting this month allowing residents and small business owners in the community to raise concerns about public safety.

All are welcome to attend the meeting on Wednesday, March 16, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Stewart Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2810 Brownsville Rd. (corner of Stewart and Brownsville, across from the Burger King Restaurant).

Information for property and small business owners about the Storefront Renovation Program will also be available.

Since the Pittsburgh Police Zone 3 Station moved to the Hilltop within the last couple of years, its Public Safety Citizens Council meetings have been held at 6 p.m. on the third Wednesdays of each month at the Zone 3 Police Station's Community Room. Starting this year, these monthly meetings will take place on a rotating basis in the different neighborhoods covered by Zone 3 Police.

Carrick is the first Zone 3 neighborhood where the monthly meeting will be held for the convenience of residents and business owners.
