PRC will host March workshops

The PA Resources Council, a local environmental nonprofit, wants to help everyong prepare for gardening and spring cleaning in an environmentally conscious way through their adult education workshops being held at the CCI Center in during the month of March.

PRC will be hosting a Worm Composting Workshop on Thursday, March 10 at 6:30 p.m. the CCI Center on South Side.

At this workshop participants learn about the benefits of composting with worms. Class participants will learn how to house, feed, harvest and care for their own worms.

Each participant or couple will be provided with a bin, instructions, and worms. The cost of this workshop is $45 per person/$55 per couple. Call 412-488-7490 ext. 226 or email prccompost@ ccicenter.org for details or to register – pre registration is required.

On Tuesday, March 15, PA Resources Council will present Healthy Body, Healthy Home, Healthy Planet Workshop where participants will learn about chemicals in cleaning and personal care products, plastics, and more that can negatively impact human health and the health of the environment.

The cost of this workshop is $20 per person/$25 per couple and it runs from 6:30-8 p.m. To register for the workshop contact Sarah Alessio Shea at saraha@ccicenter.org or calling 412-488-7490 ext. 236, pre-registration is required.

 Both workshops will be taking place at the CCI Center, 64 South 14th street on South Side.
