The last time I checked, the Democratic Party did not include George W. Bush, Rick Santorum and Sarah Palin amongst its membership roll, however, in Pittsburgh we seem to be so lucky that our party has gained a Republican face in Gavin Robb.
According to the Voter Rolls of Allegheny County, Gavin Robb, the announced candidate for City Council in District 3, was a member of the Republican Party since 2001, conveniently, he switched to the Democratic Party so he could run for Pittsburgh City Council.
Hence, our Republican turncoat, Gavin Robb, voted in Republican Primaries supporting Republicans that in turn ran against our Democratic candidates in the General Elections.
I believe that Gavin Robb does not represent the ideals of our Democratic Party, but instead, looking out for his selfish interest, has decided to switch parties so he can run for council in an area heavily dedicated to the Democratic Party.
Do we want to elect a turncoat? Does the party of George W. Bush, Rich Santorum and Sarah Palin have a place in Pittsburgh city government?
