Carrick Athletic Association (CAA) will hold registration for boys and girls ages 4 to 18 for this year's baseball and softball with opening day scheduled for April 16.
Registration will be held at Phillips Park Recreation Center on Parkfield Street, across from Pittsburgh Phillips High School, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays, January 22, February 5, 12, and March 5. Sign ups for tryouts for American Legion can be done on any of the registration dates.
Fees will remain the same as last year: $40 for all Instructional, Farm, Little Leagues and Girls 10 and under Slow Pitch; $50 for paid umpire leagues (including Girls Fast Pitch); and, $110 for American Legion. If a family has three or more siblings registering, the cost will be the highest two fees plus $10 per child thereafter.
To save time at sign ups, parents may download the registration form from www.leaguelineup.com\ ccaabaseball to fill out and bring with them. Checks should be made payable to: CAA.
Registration also requires 10 calendar tickets be sold per household. Any exceptions must be requested to the Board of CAA. Consideration may be given to siblings with different addresses but the children must be registered together.
In lieu of selling calendars, a buyout of $80 will be due at registration and is in addition to the standard sign up fees. Ticket money return day will be held at Phillips Park Recreation Center on April 9 at a time to be determined.
All parents and or adult siblings of registered players are expected to volunteer some time working in the concession stand, either as a supervisor or general stand help.
