SMART TRID planning team asks for input on improving transit resources

The South Metro Area Revitalization through Transit / Transit Revitalization Investment District (SMART TRID) planning team has installed two "collaborative maps" for collecting area residents thoughs about improving transit resources serving the neighborhoods of Allentown, Beechview, Beltzhoover and Mount Washington.

The maps, located in the Beechview library and the Warrington Recreation Center, are available for area stakeholders to locate and describe ideas about how to improve the study area along with their insights about local issues, challenges and assets.

An electronic version of the map is also available for input at: http://interfacestudio.com/currently/pittsburgh-smart-trid/. The maps will be on display through February 14.

The Warrington Recreation Center is at 329 W. Warrington Avenue and is open Monday through Friday from noon to 9 p.m.; Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and, closed Sunday.

The Beechview Branch Library is at 1910 Broadway Avenue and is open Monday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed on Friday and Sunday.
