This year's campaign for the Pittsburgh Irish Festival, designed by Ocreations, won the American Marketing Association (AMA) Pittsburgh Chapter Marketer of the Year Award in the Minority and Women Owned Business Category. They accepted the award with the staff of the Pittsburgh Irish Festival at the fourth annual Marketer of the Year Celebration at the LeMont.
The AMA Marketer of the Year competition is open to anyone and the awards are judged based on opportunity, objectives, strategy, tactics, and results of a marketing program completed in Western PA in 2010. Ocreations' campaign for the Pittsburgh Irish Festival was a rebranding effort for the 20th anniversary of the Festival that included logo design, print brochures, apparel, signage, advertisements, transit advertising, CD packaging, and complete website redesign.
The campaign was an overwhelming success with the attendance of the 2010 Irish Festival seeing a 20 percent increase over 2009 and the largest attendance since its inception. Revenue increased as well, making this year's event the highest grossing festival ever.
Ocreations recently was voted the Media Association of Pittsburgh 2010 Best Overall Agency by clients and professionals in the industry. "This has been a very exciting year for Ocreations having won two major awards. We're ready to take on more challenges in 2011," said Shawn O'Mara, senior partner.
