Leadership Pittsburgh accepting applications

Applications are being accepted for the 2011 - 2012 classes of Leadership Pittsburgh's Leadership Pittsburgh and Leadership Development Initiative programs. Regional businesses and organizations are encouraged to identify and nominate interested and qualified candidates.

The flagship Leadership Pittsburgh program offers participants significant opportunities to expand personal and professional networks and examine, in depth, the issues impacting southwestern Pennsylvania and their links to each other within the larger system. Typical participants are decision-makers from the corporate, non-profit and public sectors. The hands-on curriculum includes topics such as education, regional economy, diversity and inclusion, human services, local government and the arts.

For the "rising leaders," the organization offers Leadership Development Initiative. Using a data-driven model created by Dr. Robert Kelley, Carnegie Mellon University and augmented by other experts, these high-potential, young professionals acquire critical leadership development skills that can cement their credibility as star performers and accelerate both career and community achievements.

To apply for the 2011-2012 programs or to make referrals, interested organizations and individuals may visit www. lpinc.org for applications. Alternatively, call 412-392-4505, or email info@lpinc. org.
