Rotary looks for help in providing dinners for needy

November 16, 2010

In order to meet the needs of individuals in need in South Side and Hilltop neighborhoods on Thanksgiving Day the South Side Rotary Club sponsors and annual "Get Stuffed with Love – Feed the Hungry at Thanksgiving" program.

The Rotary Club utilizes donations from the community to enrich the lives of hundreds of people in local neighborhoods. Last year they fed 1,200 people a complete Thanksgiving dinner; they year they are hoping to serve more than 1,500.

To prepare for the day, the Rotary Club will be working in collaboration with Folino's Restaurant and local police to deliver war meals to those in need, but they need help to reach their goal.

Rotary International is a not for profit organization, 501 (c)(4) and all contributions made toward "Get Stuffed with Love – Feed the Hungry at Thanksgiving" are tax deductible.

To make a donation send a check payable to: District 7300 Rotary Foundation Corporation, "Get Stuffed with Love – Feed the Hungry at Thanksgiving, Michelle Knight, 1916 Larkins Way, Pittsburgh, PA 15203.
