Drug arrest made in So. Side, police still look for suspect

November 16, 2010

On Wednesday, Nov. 10, Pittsburgh Police narcotics/vice detectives set up an undercover drug buy with Stephon Green on South Side.

Prior to the meeting Mr. Green was observed with a male juvenile by surveillance detectives near the prearranged meeting location on E. Carson Street. When the undercover detective went to the location, Mr. Green sent a 14 year old male Urban Pathways Charter School student to do the deal. The arrangement was to buy a brick of heroin from Mr. Green

The juvenile met the undercover detective and sold him fake heroin and was taken into custody, but the search for Mr. Green met with negative results. Narcotics detectives called him on his cell phone and informed him the police will be applying for a warrant for his arrest; however, Mr. Green refused to turn himself in to police.

Once apprehended Mr. Green will be charged with: Conspiracy to Deliver a Look-a-Like Substance; Corrupting the Morals of a Minor and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
