Pgh. Zoning Board hearings
Pittsburgh's Zoning Board of Adjustment has scheduled the following public hearings of interest to South Pittsburgh residents in the first floor hearing room of the John P. Robin Civic Building, 200 Ross Street, Downtown.
Zone case 224/10 on Thursday, Nov. 18 at 9:10 a.m. is the appeal of Giant Eagle, Inc ., owner of 117 South 18th Street in the 17th Ward, to erect an 8'¾" illuminated, ground-mounted business ID sign (GetGo Kitchen) with 2.5' x 7'3" electronic message board below (to replace esisting Marquee Sign).
Variance Request: Signage containing animation or rotation is not permitted in the LNC Zoning District.
Zone case 227/10 on Thursday, Nov. 18 at 9:20 a.m. is the appeal of J & B Properties, owner of 850 Boggs Avenue in the 19th Ward, to use former elementary school as multi-unit residential for 14 dwelling units with 28 off-street parking stalls at front.
Use Variance Request: Multi-Unit Residential is not permited in the R1 Zoning District.
Zone case 220/10 on Thursday, Nov. 18 at 9:50 a.m. is the appeal of Justin Cipriani, owner of 160 South 16th Street in the 17th Ward, to reconstruct existing 3-story single family dwelling with a raised second level deck at rear.
Special Exception Review for the reconstruction of a non-conforming structure; Also requesting relief from the Zoning Code's minimum side yard setback requirement.
Plans are on file for these cases and may be inspected up to the date of the hearing. Anyone who wishes to be heard must appear in person.
