S.S. Sabers homecoming not so sweet

October 19, 2010

The South Side Sabers celebrated their Homecoming Game Day on Oct. 9 with a ceremony where all the players and cheerleaders were honored and escorted onto the field by their family members.

Although the weather was beautiful and the festivities were high, the final game scores were not so bright for the Sabers. All Sabers' teams lost their games to their North Hills counterparts, along with the Midgets who lost to Bethel Park.

Final game scores are as follows: Twerps, 12-8; Termites, 36-14; Mini-Mites, 8-0; Mighty-Mites, 22-8; and, Midgets, 18-8.
