Pittsburgh's Zoning Board of Adjustment has scheduled the following public hearings of interest to South Pittsburgh residents in the first floor hearing room of the John P. Robin Civic Building, 200 Ross Street, Downtown.

Zone case 210/10 on Thursday, Oct. 21 at 9:00 a.m. is the appeal of West Carson Associates, Inc ., owners of 1217 West Carson Street in the 19th Ward, to construct a new 15-story hotel with accessory 115-stall parking deck at side.

The appellant is requesting relief from the minimum setback and maximum height requirements.

Zone case 213/10 on Thursday, Oct. 21 at 9:20 a.m. is the appeal of Herbert Meyer and Suzanne Locaitis, owners of 1116 Bradish Street in the 17th Ward, for continued use of existing two-story structure for 544 sq. ft of retail sales and services and two dwelling units in remainder of building.

Retail Sales and Services are not permitted in the R1 Zoning District.

Zone case 218/10 on Thursday, Nov. 4 at 9:30 a.m. is the appeal of Molly Keady, owner of 1915 Industry Street in the 18th Ward, to erect a 9' high privacy fence along portion of easterly side yard of existing 2½ story single family dwelling.

Fences within a required interior side yard setback are not permitted to exceed 6½' in height.

Zone case 222/10 on Thursday, Nov. 4 at 10:00 a.m. is the appeal of Private Wealth Advisors Real Estate Partnership, owners of 249 South 9th Street in the 17th Ward, to use third floor of proposed three-story building as multi-unit residential with 16 dwellings.

In the UI (Urban Industrial) Zoning District, Multi-Unit Residential Uses shall be reviewed for approval by the Zoning Board of Adjustment for compliance with the Special Exception review criteria of the Zoning Code.

Plans are on file for these cases and may be inspected up to the date of the hearing. Anyone who wishes to be heard must appear in person.
