Fall Redd Up in Carrick Saturday

Carrick Litter Patrol is looking for volunteers for the Carrick Fall Redd Up and Pitt Make a Difference Day on October 16.

Volunteers are needed to help clean up the neighborhood before winter sets in. This year's Fall Redd-Up event will be enhanced with a bus load or two of University of Pittsburgh students, in conjunction with Pitt Make a Difference Day.

Volunteers are asked to wear a green shirt, any color of green, any style of shirt to let the community know they are part of a team improving the litter problem with a hands on approach together.

Registration for the Carrick Redd-Up Event will take place at the Carrick Shopping Center, 2118 Brownsville Rd. in the back by Auntie Lisa's Storage Units. Rain or Shine, volunteers are asked to help on Saturday, Oct. 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Trash Bags, gloves and bottle water will be provided. All participants should dress for the weather and wear comfortable clothes, shoes, and sun screen.
