Aldi official as community council Sept. 13

August 31, 2010

South Side Community Council will host an open Aldi informational session on Monday, Sept. 13 from 6:30-7:15 p.m. at the Brashear Center, 20th and Sarah streets.

Local Western PA Aldi executives will present information focused on day-to-day in-store operations. Aldi Director of Development Christina L. Morascyzk will show a short video and discuss: company history and philosophy; what select assortment and specialty brands means; how pricing and Double Quality Guarantee works; how operational overhead is managed; and, audience questions about store operations.

Aldi will provide some free food samples and reusable "green" shopping bags.

Although Aldi has multiple store locations in Western PA, the proposed South Side store will be similar to the two new prototype stores only in Northway Mall and Allison Park/ Hampton Township.
