Public hearings on ‘11 Capital Budget

The City of Pittsburgh will hold two public hearing to seek input from interested residents and community organizations on the 2011 Capital Budget and the 2011 Community Development Block Grant Program.

The hearings are being held prior to the release of the 2011 Draft Capital Budget to enable the city to adequately review citizen testimony. In addition, those attending the hearings are welcome to comment on the prior use of the city's CDBG funds and other federal funds.

Both hearings will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be held at the following locations:

Wednesday, Aug. 18, at the Brighton Heights Senior Center, 3515 McClure Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.

Thursday, Aug. 19, at the South Side Senior Center, 12th and Bingham streets, Pittsburgh, PA 15203.

Anyone interested in signing up to give testimony at the hearings should contact the mayor's Department of Neighborhood Initiatives at 412-255-2439 by Friday, Aug. 13.
