Library meetings on Hilltop to talk about consolidation

There will be a series of community meetings on the Hilltop to discuss and gain input on the potential consolidation of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh (CLP) Knoxville and Carrick branch libraries.

The meetings will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 4, at the Carrick Branch Library, 1811 Brownsville Road, and Thursday, Aug. 5, at the Knoxville Branch Library, 400 Brownsville Road. Both meetings are scheduled to take place from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. No need to register.

There will also be a tour of Pittsburgh's newest library, Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh's Allegheny Branch, on Saturday, Aug. 7. A bus will pick up passengers at the Carrick Branch at 9:30 a.m. and at the Knoxville Branch at 9:50 a.m. before heading over to the new North Side branch.

Community member are not required to ride on the bus and are welcome to come directly to CLP – Allegheny at 1230 Federal Street, at 10:30 a.m. for the tour and meeting.
