Farm stand to open on Warrington Ave.

The Mount Washington Community Development Corporation (MWCDC), in partnership with the Allentown Community Development Corp. and the Beltzhoover Neighborhood Council, is bringing a Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank (GPCFB) Farm Stand to 712 Warrington Avenue in Allentown.

The stand will be open on Thursdays from 3 – 7 p.m. beginning June 10 and running through November 11.

The GPCFB's Farm Stand Project provides fresh, Pennsylvania-grown produce at affordable prices to low-income neighborhoods that have limited or no access to farmers' markets and grocery stores. Residents can redeem Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) coupons at all of the farm stands. The farm stands also accept cash and Electronic Balance Transfer funds. All community members are encouraged to stop down and pick up fresh produce.
