Parkvale Bank is celebrating Community Banking Month in April as it joins fellow bankers throughout the country.
This year's theme, "Neighbors Helping Neighbors," speaks to the foundation of friendships that occurs when members of a community come together during a troubling time. To help less fortunate community members, all Parkvale branches will be accepting donations for local shelters throughout April.
In the South Pittsburgh area the following branches are participating and the food pantries they will be assisting: Arlington Branch will give its donations to the Brashear Association; Brentwood Branch to the Brentwood Food Pantry; and, Mount Washington Branch to the Washington Heights Ecumenical Food Bank.
Donations of non-perishable food items will benefit local food pantries. Donations will be accepted at any of Parkvale Bank's 47 branch locations.
