Jeff Decker leads petrolium retailers association

Jeff Decker, owner of Decker's Service Station in Allentown, has been elected president of Petroleum Retailers & Auto Repair Association, Inc. (PRARA) for the term running through October 2011.

A life-long member of the association, he previously served on the board of directors for nine years. Mr. Decker said that since he is actively involved in all aspects of the day to day operation at the service station he has insight into the daily problems encounter by petroleum retailers, including shrinkage, theft, new regulations, training, suppliers, employee turnover, health insurance and more.

Mr. Decker has been involved in the business his whole life, Decker's Service Station was established in 1952, the year he was born. In 1970 he started working full time with his father, Herman, and later took over the business in 1990. Today, Decker's Service Station is still a family owned and operated business.
