Heros, Landmarks program at library

The Knoxville Branch of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh will present the Pittsburgh Heroes and Landmarks Program on Sat., April 3, from 1 to 2 p.m.

During the free program, participants will share Pittsburgh stories and create artwork based on a local hero or landmark. The artwork will be displayed on the Carnegie Library Webpage.

The Knoxville Branch Library host the One Book, Every Young Child Program on Sat., May 15, beginning at noon. The family program features the book "What a Treasure!" by Jane Hillenbrand.

The goal is to share this book with as many children in Pennsylvania as possible. Other stories, songs, rhymes and activities will take place for this all ages program.

All children in attendance will receive a copy of the book and have the chance to plant their own flower. Pre-registration is encouraged.
