Seniors can get answers to their medicare questions

Haven Heights UM Church is hosting an APPRISE event called "Making Medicare Work for You" on March 10 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

APPRISE, Pennsylvania's State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP), will answer questions on Medicare and discuss programs that help eligible Pennsylvania residents lower health care costs. APPRISE counselors will assist in finding and enrolling seniors in programs that can help pay for medical care and prescription medications.

Additionally, representatives from Social Security, the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, and Jullian Gray & Associates Elder Law will be available to answer questions about retirement, social security benefits and long term care.

Help in paying for the cost of medical care and prescription medications is available. Senior citizens are welcome to come to this event and have APPRISE help them find and enroll in a program that can lower the cost of their medical care. To RSVP and schedule an appointment call 412-661-1438.
