Pennsylvania Resources Council in partnership with University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute Center for Environmental Oncology will present a Human Health and the Environment Workshop on Wednesday, Feb. 10, from 6:30 – 8 p.m. at the CCI Center, 64 South 14th Street, South Side.
The Health and the Environment Workshop is designed to heighten awareness and encourage action around the issue of carcinogens and toxins that everyone comes into contact with daily in their environment through the products they use and the food they eat. The workshop also focuses on the consequences of these toxins on health and how to avoid exposure. The program provides the public with practical solutions such as safe alternatives and healthy lifestyle choices.
In an effort to reduce exposure to toxins and to reduce the amount of toxins in the environment, all workshop participants will receive a non-toxic green cleaning kit. Cost to participate is $20 per person.
Those interested in attending the workshop should contact Sarah Alessio at 412-488-7490 ext 236 or saraha@ ccicenter.org. Class space is limited.
This program is part of a monthly adult education workshop series hosted by PRC at the CCI Center. For more information please visit www.prc.org for more information.
