Pgh. Zoning Board hearings

Pittsburgh's Zoning Board of Adjustment has scheduled the following public hearings of interest to South Pittsburgh residents in the first floor hearing room of the John P. Robin Civic Building, 200 Ross Street, Downtown.

Zone case 23/10 on Thursday, Feb. 4 at 8:50 a.m. is the appeal of Ericka C. Holmstrand, owner of 1733 Arlington Avenue in the 17th Ward, for an appeal requesting a 16' x 20' second-floor deck at the rear of existing three-story two-familydwelling and use of existing two-family dwelling with zero parking stalls.

Zone case 27/10 on Thursday, Feb. 4 at 9:30 a.m. is the appeal of Caylor Adkins, owner of 453 Augusta Street in the 19th Ward, for an appeal requesting a 16' x 20' one-car car port on lot adjacent ot applicant's single-family dwelling.

Zone case 13/10 on Thursday, Feb. 4 at 9:50 a.m. is the appeal of Justin and Gerard Cipriani, owners of 6 Neff Street in the 19th Ward, for an appeal requesting a subdivision and construction of a four-story, three-family dwelling with integral six-car garage. Zoning Code relief is requested for a three-family dwelling in a P (Parks) District; minimum rear yard setback relief; and, the creation of a lot without street frontage.

Zone case 22/10 on Thursday, Feb. 11 at 9:00 a.m. is the appeal of Matt Stark, owner of 2310 Carey Way in the 16th Ward, for an appeal requesting a 12' x 14' rooftop deck with a 3' x 35' open walk-way that leads to proposed rear 16' x 3½' staircase enclosure above existing three-story, single family dwelling. Applicant is requesting relief from the Pittsburgh Zoning Code requirements relating to Maximum Height and Interior Side Yard Setbacks.

Zone case 33/10 on Thursday, Feb. 11 at 9:20 a.m. is the appeal of James Pantelis, owner of 1490 Edgebrook Avenue in the 18th Ward, for an appeal requesting a 70' x 90' two-story storage building extension at rear of existing one-story concreate block auto repair garage. Applicant is requesting Zoning Code relief from section 904.03.C: Rear Yard Setback requirements and a Special Exception Review for the expansion of general vehicle / equipment repair (911.04.A-74).

Plans are on file for these cases and may be inspected up to the date of the hearing. Anyone who wishes to be heard must appear in person. The board does not accept letters or petitions.
