Taking the New Year's Plundge
The Mon Wharf wasn't the only place you could find polar bears on New Year's Day. Chuck Perlik, Karen Miller and Chris Miller braved the snow and 27 degree weather (16 degree wind chill) to take the plunge in the Monongahela River at South Side Riverfront Park. This was the 25th year Karen Miller took the plunge on New Year's Day.
