Light Up Night, Santa on South Side Dec. 3

South Side Chamber of Commerce will Light Up Carson Street for the Holiday Season on Thursday, Dec. 3.

Santa will kick off the Holiday Celebration visiting with neighborhood children and posing for photos from 5-7 p.m. at 18th and East Carson Street. The chamber will provide instant photos for the first 250 children. Non-perishable food items will be collected for area food banks during the photos with Santa.

Chamber President Nancy Eshelman will light a community Christmas Tree at 12th and East Carson in the Cindy Esser Plaza at 6 p.m. The traditional Holiday Snowflake lights along Carson Street will also be lighted for the evening.

Pittsburgh Phillips K-5 School Choir will sing at the 18th and East Carson Street at 6 p.m. Additional traditional holiday entertainment will also be seen and heard along the street.

Free South Side Chamber of Commerce shopping totes will be available to shoppers while supplies last.

South Side merchants will be open for extended hours.
